Attorney J. Stephen Crim II

J. Stephen Crim II formed The Crim Law Firm to assist
victims of personal injuries. After graduating from The
University of Texas in Austin, with a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Philosophy, he was admitted to the prestigious
University of Texas School of Law. While at the U.T. School
of Law, Mr. Crim took a diverse range of legal courses, one
of which included gaining admittance to an exchange student
program. He attended a Semester in London at Queen Mary and
William College, which provided exposure to other legal
systems. After graduating from law school and becoming
licensed in 1996 by The Texas Supreme Court as an Attorney
and Counselor at Law, Mr. Crim briefly worked at an
Insurance Defense Law Firm, gaining valuable insight into
the methods by which Insurance Companies conduct business.
As a plaintiff's personal injury attorney, he has already
helped thousands of injured clients. In addition to being a
member of The Texas Bar, Mr. Crim is also a bar member of
the U.S. District Court's Fifth Circuit for the Northern
District of Texas. He is a member of the American Trial
Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association,
and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a
member of the American Bar Association.

Dax
Frank Garza, born in Corpus Christi, Texas,
graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Government. Mr. Garza
attended the South Texas College of Law, where he earned
his Juris Doctorate.
While at
South Texas College of Law, he competed in the
nationally recognized mock trial advocacy program, and
served on the Board of Advocates as Director, all while
working as a law clerk for a Houston law firm and
participating in many jury trials. Some of these trials
resulted in multi-million dollar verdicts and
settlements, including the countries first Phen-Fen
trial, which marked the beginning of nationwide
diet-drug litigation.
After
law school, Mr. Garza worked as an associate attorney at
what was then the largest Workers’ Compensation firm in
Texas representing seriously injured workers. In
2002, The Law Offices of Dax F. Garza, P.C. was started
and Mr. Garza continued his work representing
individuals who have suffered serious personal injuries,
and fighting to protect the rights of those damaged by
the carelessness and malice of others. During this
time, Dax became a member of the The Million Dollar
Advocates Forum and The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates
Forum. Certification by The Multi-Million Dollar
Advocates Forum recognizes the accomplishments of trial
attorneys for their ability to secure awards for their
clients in excess of two million dollars.
In 2008,
Dax F. Garza, P.C. joined with The Crim Law Firm, P.C.,
and Dax continues to represent individuals in a wide
range of civil litigation matters, including serious
personal injuries and maritime issues. He also handles
lawsuits against insurance companies to enforce
insurance coverage where it was wrongfully denied to
both individuals and businesses, as well as defending
individuals who have been sued by insurance companies
after they prevailed at the Texas Department of
Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation
administrative level. Mr. Garza also helps people who
were injured working off-shore, in motor-vehicle
collisions, or while working for employers that do not
have Workers’ Compensation (non-subscriber law), and has
participated in numerous successful verdicts, appeals,
and settlements all across Texas, in both State
and Federal Court.
Mr.
Garza has been admitted to practice in the United States
Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, The United States
District Court in the Southern District of Texas, and is
licensed to practice law in all state courts in
Texas. Dax is active in a number of organizations,
including The State Bar Association, The Houston Bar
Association, and the Corpus Christi Bar Association.
Dax is

Attorney Justin Carlisle

Justin W. Carlisle joined the firm in 2007. Mr. Carlisle was raised in Fort Bend County and graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management. Following graduation from Texas A & M, he attended South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston where earned his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Carlisle was on the Dean’s List twice at South Texas College of Law, participated in Family Trial Advocacy and volunteered in the prestigious Mock Trial Program at South Texas College of Law.
While in law school, Mr. Carlisle clerked for Hennessy, Gardner & Barth (a general civil litigation firm) in Houston. He gained valuable insight from the senior trial attorney, Edward Hennessy, who had over 30 years of legal experience. After law school, Mr. Carlisle continued working with Hennessy, Gardner & Barth and also received appointments as Attorney Ad Litem in Fort Bend County to protect the interests of minors and unknown heirs in probate matters.
Since joining The Crim Law Firm, P.C., Mr. Carlisle continues prosecuting motor vehicle collisions, premises liability cases, and wrongful death cases. He is licensed to practice law in all of the state courts in Texas and is admitted to practice in The United States District Court in the Southern District of Texas and in the Eastern District of Texas. Further, Mr. Carlis is also a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), Houston Trial Lawyers Association (HTLA), and Houston Bar Association (HBA).
